Burr’s Denzel Okinedo Appointed to the Alabama State Bar’s Helping Heroes in Healthcare Task Force
Birmingham Associate, Denzel Okinedo will serve on the new Helping Heroes in Healthcare Task Force for the 2020-2021 year. The Alabama State Bar’s Committees and Task Forces are designed to address the evolving needs of its 18,000+ members and create solutions that improve the lives of its members, their communities and the state as a whole.
The Task Force’s members are composed of lawyers from across the state and were appointed to the task force by the Alabama State Bar president. The Helping Heroes in Healthcare Task Force was created in response to the growing legal needs of Alabama’s healthcare workers from COVID-19. The purpose of the Task Force is to expand the Wills for Heroes Program by including healthcare providers to show appreciation for the efforts and sacrifices made by these brave individuals. Additionally, the task force will recruit volunteer lawyers that will work towards expanding and publicizing the Wills for Heroes Program expansion.
Denzel is an attorney in the Birmingham office where he practices in the firm’s Financial Services Litigation Practice Group. He received his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University. At Cumberland, Denzel served as President of the Student Bar Association, as a board member of the Black Law Students Association, and as a Legal Extern for the Honorable Abdul K. Kallon.
